CO overruling elders on appointments

if a brother wants to reach out to be elder, yet brothers are holding him back for dubious reasons, can/should a brother approach the co and ask him what he needs to be done to be appointed or perhaps having a discussion along the lines of why the elders are holding him unfairly back.

anybody have any experiences along these lines?

is this a good strategy?

I knew a BOE that hadn't appointed an elder for literally 8 or 9 years. When MS would leave the congregation and transfer to a different congregation in the same building!, they would get appointed.

The CO talked to them about this and they barely budged.

A professional MS that had been one for DECADES, FINALLY got appointed.

Yep, sounds exactly like my old hall.... except we didnt share the KH with another cong. The nepotism was rife, if daddy or daddy in law wasnt in the holy trinity (the 3 power elders) or an elder at all it took fooooreeeeveeeer to get appointed.

But if daddy or daddy in law was in the holy trinity, then bam, the most useless inept pathetic speaker would get made an MS and then within 3 - 4 years be an elder. The quality of the meetings went right down hill as a result of having these sad jokes on the platform. Meantime, gifted ones outside the familly got overlooked year in year out. Some took decades to get appointed.

a so called friend of mine sent me this link to a music video.. the song seems to be ridiculing jehovah's witness's and their practise.. but more disconcerting is the visual content, which actually shows the assault and murder of a jehovah's witness.. i can appreciate there is an element of humour involved, but find it in pretty poor taste.. and in no way a positive message to the populace and for the safety of jehovah's witness's in general.. .

Not quite, no one was murdered and I doubt anyone in the video is a JW, but we get the point..

Why on earth would you want to be made an elder or MS?

I had a period of 7 years as an MS and wasnt far off being made an elder when I moved away for a job and changed congregations, I wasnt bothered about being an MS much in the new cong and working lots and lots of hours made it harder.

So I wasnt appointed an MS in the new cong, (yay!) ....about 8 months later I return to my old hall again, fully intent to get on with the troof and be reappointed again as an MS asap. I made that clear straight away to the PO.

Well i tried and tried and 7 years went by and there was always some little excuse given as to why I wasnt appointed. So I gave up saying fuck em to myself....Nothing could persuade me to reach out after that and within a few years I was doing research and starting my fade.

Later it turns out it was the PO all along blocking me from being reappointed as revenge for me exposing his own sons dirty deeds years before, before I was appointed an MS in the very 1st place.

What a mindfuck this cult is....

Deja Vu doesnt make you a prophet or mean it is any manifestation of the supernatural, i get it quite often and very strong myself as do lots of people.

Dreams within dreams can even contain deja vu making you wake up thinking you've dreamed a dream that came true, all kinds of crazy shit can go on in the mind, and that is exactly where it is all taking place.

You think you saw a (one per your 1st post in this thread) ghost aged 5, You claim you KNOW what you saw, ... you don't, you only know what you think you saw, you also vaguely claim dreams that come true as another supernatural experience as well.

You still believe in Satan, I assume you still believe in God, demons, angels, heaven, bible prophecy etc etc too. Thats is not a very good basis to formulate logical unbiased conclusions about the stuff you think you experience, you are almost guarenteed to seek an external explanation because of it. In fact you may well DESIRE the supernatural explanation of it as that might mean you are special somehow. Many take that road.

If you have the Freestyle Dash set up right and port forwarding on your router you can do system link games like COD over the internet though....
